About Amud Aleph

Illness can interrupt the room.
It should not erase the place.

Amud Aleph helps bochurim and yungeleit stay connected to Torah, chaburah, and dignity when they cannot be in yeshiva.

The Story

The interruption is real. The place is still his.

A talmid in a hospital room is not only missing a shiur. He is missing the rhythm of seder, the presence of a rebbi, the push of a chaburah, the quiet identity of being part of the beis midrash.

Amud Aleph was created for that moment. The mission is not to make illness the headline. The mission is to make sure learning does not disappear.

What We Believe

Three things guide the work.

01

Dignity first

A talmid is not a case. He is a person with a name, a level, a seder, and a place in learning.

02

Real learning

The chaburah should be live, serious, and matched — not generic content sent into a hospital room.

03

No family burden

The family should not be charged for the chaburah. Sponsors carry the cost.

The Model, In Brief

Small chaburos. Real mashpi'im. No cost to the family.

Families apply. The team learns the situation. A chaburah is matched or formed. A mashpia leads. The talmid joins in the way his strength and situation allow.

Who We Serve

For the talmid away from yeshiva.
